Important – Please Update Tracking Links

Notice

This blog post relates to the WOW TRK affiliate network which closed in 2020. This blog post remains to preserve some history of the affiliate network.

From the 4th February Google is releasing a new version of Chrome which may cause issues with cookie based tracking (although many of our offers use Postback/Server side tracking now) and for users when clicking unsecure links.

Due to this if you are not using secure tracking links from WOW TRK for the offers you are promoting, we highly recommend you update any WOW TRK links you are using as soon as possible.

A secure tracking link starts with https. The “s” is what is key here in this being a secure tracking link. For a while we have supported secure tracking links on WOW TRK however the platform does not generate these by default so the chances of you using an unsecure tracking link are high.

What should I do?

Check all links you have placed on your website, email campaigns, social, paid ads or any other place you have t.wowtrk.com links to see what protocol you are using. If the link starts http:// without the “s” please update this so the tracking link starts like https://t.wowtrk.com for example.

What is WOW TRK doing moving forward?

New offers that go live on WOW TRK will show secure links by default and we are making changes to existing offers on the platform as well over the next week. Whilst we are in this transition period please ensure to manually change links to https when you pull them from the WOW TRK platform. From the 10th February all links on the platform for Offers should default to secure https links when you go to pull them from the dashboard.
