Taking Notes
Every business owner will need to take notes when on the telephone or when a great idea comes to them at an inappropriate time, and so we first need to look at apps that provide this function. Unsurprisingly, there are many, but we recommend Evernote, as it’s had more downloads than any other and always gets the best reviews.

Getting Emails
As the iPad will be connected to your WiFi, there’s nothing stopping you using one of the many internet browsers available to check all your emails. However, there’s an app called Mail that comes with all Apple products, and this can be used to link all your electronic mailing accounts.

Video Calling
While telephone conversations may have been enough for business users a decade ago, these days we all understand the importance of video calling. Thankfully, there are many free apps available for the iPad at the moment, but the best is most definitely Skype.

Dictation
Every now and again company bosses find themselves in a situation where there simply isn’t enough time to write a note, and so a suitable dictation app would come in very handy, right? Well, luckily for you, one solution stands head and shoulders above the rest, and that is Dragon Dictation.

Document Perusal
Anyone trying to run a business from their iPad will almost certainly need a program capable of opening and displaying documents, PDF files, and whatever else is relevant. After searching on the Apple Store, you should come across a solution called GoodReader.

Editing Documents
At one time or another, business people will also have the need to create, edit or change documents, and this is where Quickoffice Pro HD comes in very useful indeed. It’s like a scaled down version of Microsoft Office that only contains the essential and most commonly used features.

Dealing With Accounts
This is probably one of the most important elements to any business, and so those trying to run theirs from an iPad are going to need a pretty special and reliable app for the job. Thankfully, they won’t have to look far. Accounts 2 – Checkbook is far superior to most of the other options, and it’s incredibly straightforward, meaning you’ll be able to get started straight away without reading any guides or instructions.

So, in answering the question posed in the title of this article, yes, you can run your business from an iPad without any hassle at all.

Give it a go and let us know how you get on!
