4 Top Email Marketing Platforms for Affiliates

Email marketing is the process of sending out your affiliate offers, to a list of email addresses that you have captured via your website. If you have a list of data that you’d like to monetise via email, or you’re interested in building one, the next question is, ‘Which email marketing platform should I use?’. The answer will depend partly on your budget, partly on the size of your list and the specific functions you are looking for.

mailchimp

Mailchimp is a brilliant platform. However affiliates should be aware that Mailchimp will ban accounts that send emails with bad affiliate links. Mailchimp is stringent when it comes to their rules regarding this, so it’s vital to read through their information regarding affiliate marketing and ensure you are following every rule.

As a platform, Mailchimp is very user-friendly. Here are some of the benefits:

  • Ready made templates
  • Free to use up to 2,000 subscribers
  • One of the easiest platforms to use
  • Easy to integrate with many other tools

getresponse

Getresponse has a huge range of capabilities such as advanced split testing, easy autoresponder management and many ready-to-go templates. Unfortunately there is no free starter pack offered by Getresponse, but you can trial the platform free, for 30 days.

Here are some of the benefits:

  • Advanced split testing features
  • 30 day free trial
  • Easy segmentation tools
  • Affordable even as your list of prospects grows

BigMailer logo

BigMailer stands as an email marketing platform catering to marketing agencies, publishers, and franchises, providing a customizable white-label option. Esteemed by high-volume senders, it presents an avenue for earning superior commissions compared to platforms targeting creators. Additionally, it facilitates email delivery through Amazon SES alongside its native delivery service.

Here are some of the benefits:

  • Manage all your brands in one place
  • Consolidate your promotional and transactional emails on one platform
  • Automate your data flows

mailget

MailGet Bolt is a new and reliable email marketing software brand with a range of great features. Sending bulk emails is easy with MailGet Bolt, just sign up and start sending. It provides great open rates with its auto-follow-up feature. It has complete solutions for your email campaign needs. You can send up to 9000 emails to 300 subscribers a month for free.

Here are some of the benefits:

  • Drag & Drop email builder
  • Library of eye-catching email templates
  • Ability to send automated emails
  • Mobile friendly email designer

All three of these platforms are brilliant, so the decision really depends on your list size and the specific features you favour. No matter which platform you decide to use, you must monitor the results of each campaign, against the cost of using the email platform. Email marketing costs can add up if you are mailing on a regular basis, to a large list of prospects. This isn’t a problem if you are making a return on your investment, but you could end up losing money if you don’t closely monitor this activity.

    • Hey Rob, correct they do have very strict rules when it comes to what you promote. It is a good idea to read their rules regarding affiliate marketing before you start using MailChimp. They do allow affiliate links so long as you are not for example, sending solo campaigns and instead sending newsletter campaigns. We used MailChimp for years for WOW Freebies (an affiliate site of ours) without any issues, just make sure to follow the rules :).
